If they're pretty much the satndard size of sliding glass doors, look at vertical blinds. J.C. Penny generally has a good selection and they're not too pricey. Picture a venetian blind turned on side with the slats of fabric and about four inches wide. They slide to the edge of the door for storage. The slats can be opened when they're covering the door or closed for privacy.

Interior french doors feel cheap and flimsy to me. Also, I've seen people use french doors to the master bedroom, but if I did that, they would have to be solid wood french doors, instead of glass french doors. Interior glass french doors leading into a bedroom make it feel less private, and I hate that.
